Jubilee Year of Hope

As a School we dedicated our first week of term for 2025 to the Jubilee Year of Hope as announced by the late Pope Francis. We celebrated in whole school worship and each class completed activities from art to music celebrating this special year. every Monday in our whole school prayer and worship we have referred to the Jubilee Year and how we can live out our promises of hope in our every day lives. In June we made our Jubilee Pledge:

"We are Pilgrims of Hope. We walk in solidarity with our sisters and brothers worldwide sharing challenges and celebrating joys. We promise to be agents of change working together for justice, love and peace locally and globally. We want a fairer earth where everyone in the world can flourish. We will do this every day in St Mary's incorporating our Catholic Social Teaching Values in our end of week praise celebration and rewards."
